ABOUT HANK
Hank Mancini retired from a successful career in the medical industry in 2017, having written technical articles on medical cables, medical connectors, and industrial adhesives for more than a decade. To broaden the appeal of his writing, he penned his first novel, "The Cat That Ate a Thousand Bananas: Musings of a Nerd."

Receiving feedback from friends, readers, and authors, his new book, "Memoir of a Nerd: Humorous Essays and Short Stories," is a complete re-write of his first. Less exciting chapters have been deleted, and after friends reminded him of other incidents, nine chapters have been added.

Stories in his books begin when he was five years old and span nearly 70 years. His hope is that readers will enjoy a few laughs from the pranks he played on others and the crazy situations he often found himself in.
A self-proclaimed nerd, Hank grew up in Ohio in the '50s when he says: "Life was simpler, and everything was way less expensive!" His family moved to California when he was a teenager. Except for a 2 1/2 year stint as a missionary in Japan, Southern California has been his home.

Hank lives in Huntington Beach, California. He and his late wife, Teresa, share six grown children and seven grandchildren. Their household includes a dog, a parrot, and of course, a cat! Hank and several of his children are avid Dodgers fans.

Hank publishes a blog just about every week of things that he finds interesting. You'll find articles on such fascinating subjects as: Holy Smoke, Mandarin Oranges, Donuts and Coffee, Tokyo, his favorite city, and Leap Year.
